“Almost all children respond to music. Music is an open-sesame, and if you can use it carefully and appropriately, you can reach into that child’s potential for development.” -Dr. Clive Robbins

Make a joyful noise.

Dream it.

It all began with an idea. Since 2013, Katy has been teaching and empowering students in Singapore through the medium of music. She began her journey 8 years ago at Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities, EIPIC Centre, in Ang Mo Kio. She created a sustainable Music Therapy program incorporating Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals for an ever growing caseload of 150 children.

Build it.

After building a Music Therapy team of 7 qualified and registered Therapists, Katy shifted her passion and focus to the community.

She joined Extra Ordinary People, a registered charity (IPC) where she partnered alongside a diverse treatment team of professionals providing individual and group music therapy to persons with special needs.

Grow it.

Although 2020 took everyone by surprise, Katy used her time and resources to create Medley Plus.

We meet people where they are. We understand that each child is unique and believe that therapy is not a “one size fits all” service. At Medley Plus, we want to create a warm, safe and inviting presence when co-creating sessions.

Share it.

Medley Plus uses music to cultivate and enrich a child’s potential. Whatever that may look like: through song, instrument playing, rhythm, music and relaxation or music and movement. We aim to give each individual endless opportunities to use their voice and share their story.
